Mossie’s, locally known as Ulusker House - is a beautifully restored 19^th century country house set on 7 acres of secluded, landscaped gardens and mature woodland based in the scenic area of the Beara Peninsula in West Cork.

Two decades ago, Ulusker House was a complete ruin and underwent through extensive renovations using a ton of reclaimed materials. It was then turned it into an award-winning restaurant and a lovely guest accommodation.
Thanks to David & Lorna who saw the immense potential in this property!

A decade later, the house was sold to the current owner, Hanno. His idea to buy Mossie’s was to ensure this place continues to be shared with the rest of the world. To this day, there has been countless ideas and new projects to enhance the property and elevate the guest experiences.

In 2019, Matti and I moved here from Germany and Canada with the intention of running the B&B. Together, we were seeking new challenges and a different lifestyle, and we found that this place was undoubtedly the perfect fit for us. With experience working in luxury hotels and customer service industry around the globe, we bring a genuine passion for providing exceptional hospitality, good food and great conversation.
